Cold Hardiness: U.S.D.A. Zones 3 to 9 - Hostas require a minimum of 40 days of around 40 degrees farenheit. Hosta plants tend to grow larger in the North. In the South you may need to be more selective in the varieties of hostas that you choose.
Light Requirements: Partial sun, filtered shade, morning sun. - Most hostas will tolerate some sun if the soil is kept reasonably moist. Morning sun or filtered sun is the best for hostas but avoid mid-day sun as it will burn the leaves.
Water Requirements: Keep soil constantly moist avoiding any areas where water may puddle
Fertilizer Requirements: In early Spring apply a light amount of slow-release fertilizer. Avoid getting any fertilizer on the leaves.

    Beautiful ‘June’ hostas

These arrived quickly - and in fabulous shape. I could not believe the amount of healthy roots. Most of the hostas were large enough that I could have divided before planting!

    June Hosta

Best Hostas! They have survived ice storms and now heat wave. I do cover them up with a fost bag and boxes in the winter time since we have had snow and ice the last 3 years. So far they have been the hardest of all the hostas. This company provides the best ones so far. I have tried big box stores and a couple of local stores, but nothing is as sturdy as Pine Forest Gardens brands. I am a lifelong customer. Keep it up Pine Forest Gardens!

This made it through some pretty bad winters here in Texas. Now it is battling 100 degrees temps. It gets a lot of shade from tree plus lantana. It did flower this year. It is pretty hardy plant.

I ordered 3 of these to go in a shaded bed with other assorted hostas. This was my first time ordering through Pine Forest Gardens and I was impressed. The plants arrived healthy and beautiful after being in transit for 4 days. I am very pleased. I will say that I don’t think the pictures online do this hosta justice. The darker variegation is truly striking. I will probably be back to order more soon! Thank you!
